True to its mandate of promoting the development of strong and transparent corporate governance (CG) practices in the Philippines and at the same time inspiring the private sector to continue their CG initiatives despite the difficulties brought about by the pandemic, thereby raising the CG standards of Philippine corporations, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in partnership with the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), recognized the exemplary performance of Philippine publicly-listed companies (PLCs) who were named as awardees in the 2019 Asean Corporate Governance Scorecard Awards. The two-hour virtual recognition was held on Jan. 29, 2021 via Zoom webinar and streamed through Facebook live.
