THE House of Representatives on Thursday passed on third reading the bill seeking to build evacuation centers in all cities and municipalities across the country.

"The establishment of evacuation centers has never been more important than it is today, as it is envisioned to provide immediate and temporary accommodation for people who have been evacuated or displaced from their homes due to emergency events -- and the outbreak that presents imminent danger to life and property, such as the present Covid-19 pandemic," said Committee on Health Chairperson and Quezon Rep. Angelina "Helen" Tan.
