In our effort to make the government more open, accountable, and responsive, we promoted budget transparency. We substantially disclosed information on the country’s budget as we want our citizens to participate, monitor, and scrutinize how we raise revenues, allocate resources, and manage our public finances. I am truly delighted that we succeeded in this endeavor.
To help the country recover from the dire impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2021 National Budget supports government efforts toward strengthening the health system, upgrading to a digital government, and expanding livelihood opportunities and social protection programs.
