The Department of Agriculture (DA) gave assurances that Metro Manila and its adjacent provinces would have sufficient food supply during the duration of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), which coincides with the observance of Holy Week.

“With the declaration of Metro Manila and four adjacent provinces under enhanced community quarantine from March 29 to April 4, we assure fellow citizens that there is enough food for everyone as we observe the annual Christian Holy Week tradition,” Agriculture Secretary William Dar said in a statement issued on Sunday.
