Despite the delays caused by the pandemic, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said it is aiming to conclude discussions on the proposed Philippines-Korea free trade agreement (FTA) by the end of June this year.
“It is now timely to resume negotiations on the remaining issues in particular on the market access of goods and on this, the technical leads of both Korea and the Philippines are both scheduled to have a bilateral meeting first half of April to have a way forward,” said Trade Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo in a recent virtual briefing.
