The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is expecting thousands of additional contact tracers as the government struggles to blunt the sharp rise in Covid-19 cases in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
DILG officer-in-charge Bernardo Florece Jr. said on Sunday more tracers are needed after the Department of Health introduced a new protocol, which is to trace every close contact within 24 hours after an infection has been diagnosed.
