Hospitals in Metro Manila and four nearby provinces need to free up more beds for Covid cases before the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) can be lifted, a consultant to the National Task Force against Covid-19 said on Sunday.
Dr. Teodoro Herbosa made the statement in a radio interview a day after President Rodrigo Duterte extended the ECQ in Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan and Rizal for another week.
