IT seems that this pandemic has the ability to reveal stories of lunacy and unhinged minds. This is what we get when even our leaders cannot come up with clear, well-planned guidelines and, instead, rely on a week-to-week release of instructions; as if doing a striptease.

The lunacy is not actually because we have become a country where we indulge in food porn as the signifier for our partisan representation of our disliked politicians. Indeed, it is already depressing enough that we associate Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo with rice porridge (lugaw) and our president with a cup of rice pretending to be a birthday cake.
