THE Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. has remitted a total of P7.1 billion in dividend contributions to the Bureau of the Treasury in the previous year to aid the government’s coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) efforts.
The Department of Finance, in a statement on Tuesday, reported that the PDIC declared initial dividends amounting to P4.9 billion on February 8 and an additional P2.2 billion on March 24.
