ASSISTANT Minority Leader France Castro on Tuesday filed House Resolution (HR) 1719, which calls for an investigation into the alleged profiling of public school teachers by the Department of Education, which is in violation of the Data Privacy Act and the Magna Carta of Public School Teachers, among others.

According to the lawmaker, public school teachers in several regions were reportedly ordered by their division offices to provide the number of ACT Teachers' party-list members in their areas, following the directive of DepEd Undersecretary Revsee Escobedo.
