PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has directed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to take the lead in determining the course of action against the illegal trading or dispensing of anti-parasitic drug ivermectin for treatment against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19),  Malacañang said on Wednesday.

Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. said Duterte issued the directive to avoid any conflict between the FDA and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in determining which drugs should be on the market.
