A leader at the House of Representatives on Thursday called on the US government to donate its excess coronavirus disease 2019  vaccines to the Philippines.

Citing reports, Deputy Speaker Rufus Rodriguez said Dr. Anthony Fauci, the chief medical officer on Covid-19 of the White House, had mentioned that the American government will "no longer need the millions of doses" it has agreed to purchase from British-Swedish manufacturer Astrazeneca.
