Lenders are seeing credit rules on loans to businesses and households to become tighter in the second quarter as the country’s economic outlook remain uncertain, according to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Results of the central bank’s First Quarter 2020 Senior Bank Loan Officers’ Survey showed that some banks continued to see tighter rules for loans to enterprises and individual borrowers for April to June after it used the diffusion index (DI) approach.
