Batangas LNG project gets DoE nod

Vires Energy Corp. (VEC) has secured the Department of Energy’s (DOE) approval on its notice to proceed (NTP) application for the development its Integrated Natural Gas-Fired Power Plant and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Storage and Regasification Terminal Project in Batangas province.

In a statement, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi expressed optimism that the proponent will be able to complete all the requirements needed within the six months validity of the NTP so that the Vires project will proceed as scheduled.
