THE Insurance Commission (IC) has expressed its support to the proposed amendments to its charter filed recently in the Senate.
In particular, Insurance Commissioner Dennis Funa told The Mania Times that he is in of favor stronger IC supervisory power over health maintenance organizations (HMOs), placing the agency under the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), and converting it into a collegial body.
