LOYALIST followers of President Rodrigo Duterte have made a cottage industry of red-tagging anyone who speaks against him or his government. In their misinformed and insecure universe, anyone who criticizes government is a communist terrorist, never mind if the critic does not know Marx from Adam or revolutionaries from the K-pop group BTS. If they would have their way, they would tag as red a Marcos loyalist who has since abandoned Duterte and is now turned arch critic after concluding that Digong has abandoned Bongbong.
After all, these miscreants have just tagged as communists those ordinary peoples, housewives and neighbors who organized the hapag ng bayan (community pantries) that emerged like a breath of safe air in an atmosphere that is infected by a deadly virus.
