There is so much to debate about in the NBA. The MVP is said to be a wide-open race and with Jamal Murray’s injury, frontrunner Nikola Jokic will be tested. If he continues to steer the Denver Nuggets despite the loss of Murray, then he should take the award.

Until then, there are solid debates for Joel Embiid, even though he missed 18 games, Chris Paul for succeeding in his latest restoration project, Phoenix Suns. From the lottery team to the second-best record (with a serious shot at the top due to the Jazz’s recent injuries), no one expected them to land Paul (everyone thought he’d go to Milwaukee). When the Suns got Paul, they were expected to improve but not this much. The discussion was whether the Suns were a playoff lock, not a frontrunner.
