Uniforms should not be deducted from the salary of the employees

Dear PAO,

I wanted to apply for work at a bakery in our town. They are offering just a little over the minimum wage, which is okay with me since I am a fresh graduate. But my cousin told me that she heard from her friend who applied in the same bakery that the owner wanted to deduct the costs of the employees’ uniform from their salary. Is this allowed by law?
