App to track Covid-19 hospital beds developed

Mara Reyes, a Filipino data scientist based in Australia, has developed a software program that can track Covid-19 hospital bed capacity in the Philippines.

Reyes, who received her master’s degree in data science from the University of Sydney and an alumna of the University of the Philippines Diliman, said she developed Cobeds19 app after reading reports of how hard it was to locate hospitals with vacancy for Covid-19 patients in her country.
