THE Philippines logged 5,685 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) and 8,961 recoveries on Wednesday, the Department of Health (DoH) said.
Of the total 1.073 million cases, 62,713, or 5.8 percent remain active; 92.5 percent, or 993,042 have recovered, and 17,800 have died, including 178 or 1.66 percent new fatalities.
