African swine fever (ASF) has been confirmed in Barangay Danac East and Barangay Danac West in Boliney town in Abra province, according to the office of the provincial veterinarian (Opvet).
The Boliney Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) said the disease may have been present starting in mid-April this year after seven pigs were reported dead from the dreaded virus in the two barangay (villages).
