Govt aims for 'total health' despite of Indian variant

THE government will continue to prioritize the country’s "total health", Malacañang said, despite the detection of India's coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) variant in the Philippines.

In a virtual press conference, Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. said the government aimed to improve the country’s healthcare capacity and facilities rather than order the temporary shutdown of some businesses in the country amid the pandemic.
