It’s simply fact that ever since the name Vice Ganda exploded in Philippine entertainment, Jose Marie Borja Viceral has claimed and lorded every available facet in showbiz.

As a stand-up comic, he has long been considered a legend from the top comedy bars where he began his career. On television, his noontime variety-cum-game show toppled the genre’s decades’ long forerunner. On the big screen, every movie franchise he ever starred in turned into mega-million blockbusters. When it comes to recording, only two of his albums turned gold because the third was a platinum hit. As a concert performer, he filled the Smart Araneta Coliseum to the rafters seven times since 2010, even on his last before the pandemic, with 2019’s “The Songbird and The Song Horse,” where his star commanded just as much adoration than the country’s foremost songstress if not more.
