MALACAÑANG downplayed the reported presence of almost 300 Chinese militia vessels in parts of the West Philippine Sea.

In his press briefing on Thursday, Presidential spokesman Harry Roque Jr. said maritime authorities should clarify where exactly the Chinese militia vessels were spotted, specifically if these were within the country’s exclusive economic zone and stressed that the Philippines should not regard the incursions happening in the entire West Philippine Sea.
