TROPICAL storm "Crising" weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) on Friday, prompting the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) to lift storm alerts in affected areas, the state-run weather agency said on Friday.

In its 11 a.m. advisory, Pagasa said the LPA will continue moving westward or west northwestward and emerge over the Sulu Sea in the next 12 hours.
