Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo said on Saturday that the Catholic Church would not be endorsing any candidate in next year's national elections.

“We can’t say anything (names of candidates) because those who run are ‘trapo’ (traditional politicians). Election is more of a process of choosing the lesser evil,” said Pabillo, the apostolic administrator of the Archdiocese of Manila and chairman of the Commission on Laity of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines.
