THE Philippines should abandon its “Filipino First” policy and further open the economy to foreign investments to aid recovery, an eminent economist stressed during a virtual forum.
Bernardo Villegas, one of the framers of the 1987 Philippine Constitution, said the “Filipino First” is not the best policy, especially today when countries are competing with one another for foreign investments.
