Filipino tennis wunderkind Alex Eala made a rousing performance in her maiden professional doubles match, as she and Russian partner Oksana Selekhmeteva won in their first round match early Wednesday (Philippine time) in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour at W25 Platja D’Aro in Spain.
Eala and Selekhmeteva swept the Spanish and South African pair of Valeria Koussenkove and Warona Mdlulwa, 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
