DAVAO CITY: A soldier was injured in an ambush by suspected members of the communist New People's Army (NPA) in Mati City, Davao Oriental on Sunday morning.
Maj. Jerry Lamosao, Philippine Army's 10th Infantry Division spokesman, said the soldiers who belonged to the 66th Infantry Battalion (IB) were aboard a military truck when they were attacked by at least 10 members of the NPA in Barangay Badas, Mati City around 8:50 a.m.
