THIS is not the first, nor the second, nor the third time I write about this eminent Lipeño. It will not be, surely, the last time either, as I have not found so far, another Filipino having, at the same time, the same level of intellectual strength, moral integrity and deep patriotism during the whole American colonial period.

Thanks to the help of social media, which puts in contact people with similar interests, I have been able to buy a copy of his memoirs, titled Aide-de-Camp to Freedom, originally written in Spanish and published in English in 1965, twenty-five years after he passed away.
