Since losing to Japanese unified champ Naoya Inoue in a thrilling bout in November 2019, it has always been the goal of Filipino boxer Nonito Donaire to get back at him and unify the belts in the bantamweight division.
With that in mind, Donaire went bonkers and delivered a fourth round knockout of erstwhile champion French Nordine Oubaali on Sunday (Philippine time) to win the World Boxing Council (WBC) bantamweight crown, and put himself in a position to accomplish his aforementioned goal.
