A new study from Checkout.com, the leading cloud-based global payments solutions provider, reveals 95 percent of consumers in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region have shopped online or used an app more than twice in 2020. Majority of them have spent more money online since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, and more than 88 percent expect to sustain or increase to higher spending levels. This has led to the observation that APAC has experienced an "e-commerce bull run" since the onset of the global pandemic.

These findings form part of Checkout.com's Payments Optimization in APAC report, a comprehensive look at how payments and e-commerce innovation is rapidly spreading across the region, revolutionizing how consumers shop and setting the standard for other geographies to follow.
