Social distancing and stay-at-home orders have been challenging for everyone to say the least, but more so for young students who had been looking forward to a memorable senior year in school. High schoolers in Grade 12, most especially, would have wanted to savor their final year among teachers and friends and their second home for over a decade, while giving both academics and extra-curriculars their all before moving on to college and brand-new chapter in life.
Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic has deprived the seniors of school year 2020-2021 this once-in-a-lifetime experience. All across the country and around the world, this batch had no recourse but to learn their lessons and interact with their peers online, while having to complete mostly asynchronous studies amid the hustle and bustle of fellow work-from-home parents and stay-at-home siblings.
