THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) called on the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and its armed wing, New People's Army (NPA), to turn over the "terrorists responsible" for the deaths of a Far Eastern University (FEU) athlete and his cousin so tha "justice may be served to their families and loved ones."

Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año, in a statement on Wednesday, said it is the "duty" of the CPP/NPA after accepting "full responsibility for the senseless murders" of Keith Absalon and Nolven Absalon, also a labor leader, in Barangay Anas who were killed in a landmine explosion on Sunday.
