"It's (peace talks) dead on its [tracks] - it is in still waters," Duterte said in his interview with religious leader Apollo Quiboloy aired on SMNI channel on Tuesday.
Duterte, who promised to build peace among different forces in the country when he ran for president in 2016 said he no longer wants to negotiate with the rebel group because they are "arrogant" and they are asking for too much from the government.
