The PBA said allowing Kiefer Ravena from reneging on his contract with NLEX and playing for Shiga Lakestars in Japan's B.League would set a bad precedent.

So what! Along with farm teams, lopsided trades (that's an offshoot of having farm teams), and head coaches masking as team consultants, Asia's play-for-pay league using the "sanctity" of the uniform players contract (UPC) as the reason for keeping Kiefer within its ranks has fast become my latest pet peeve about the PBA.
