THE Philippines has reported 5,462 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) and 7,854 recoveries on Wednesday, according to the Department of Health (DoH).
The total number of infections in the country is 1.286 million in which 54,000 or 4.2 percent are active while 94.1 percent, or 1.21 million have recovered.
