The rift between President Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao deepened on Wednesday when the former chided the latter for criticizing his foreign policy, particularly his stand on China amid tensions in the West Philippine Sea, calling the lawmaker "shallow."

In an interview with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, Duterte said Pacquaio should first educate himself before finding fault with his policies.
