SOME vaccine manufacturers have shown interest in holding vaccine clinical trials for young children to determine if the effect of the vaccines would be the same if used in the Philippine setting, said the Department of Health (DoH).

This comes after Health Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd said in a recent House of Representatives hearing he would defer the implementation of vaccinations among young children and see first the real-world implementation in countries where it was first approved.
