THE Philippines posted 5,389 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Tuesday, raising the number of infections to 1.327 million nationwide.
Of the total, 1.246 million or 93.9 percent have recovered, including 6,667 new survivors, while 4.4 percent or 58,063 are active cases.
