EDC kicks off construction of 29MW BacMan expansion project

MANITO, Albay: Lopez-led renewable energy leader Energy Development Corporation (EDC), through its BacMan Geothermal Inc. subsidiary has officially commenced the construction of its 29MW Palayan Binary Power Plant project and provide that much needed additional supply of clean, reliable, stable power to the country by December 2022.

The ceremony that was held simultaneously in Barangay Nagotgot and via Zoom was graced by EDC President and Chief Operating Officer Richard B. Tantoco, EDC Senior Vice President and Head of Facilities, Operation and Maintenance Liberato S. Virata, and stakeholder partners led by Department of Energy Undersecretary Emmanuel P. Juaneza, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Regional Executive Director Francisco Milla Jr., Department of Labor and Employment Region V Supervising Labor & Employment Officer Engr. Roberto Aranas, First Balfour President & COO Anthony Fernandez, and Engr. Macario Pavia, Albay's Provincial Planning and Development Officer who represented Governor Al Francis Bichara.
