The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Friday launched the first solar-powered on-farm cold storage in the country, highly regarded as a main solution to address the high postharvest losses in the agriculture sector.
The inauguration of the demo unit of India's most innovative digitally enabled modular on-farm solar-powered cold storage was led by Agriculture Secretary William Dar, along with the president of Ecofrost Technologies India, Ravindra Dolare, and Chief Executive Officer of Next Agri Corp Philippines, Arch Ray Francis Diaz.
