At least 4,500 people, including 1,200 families, have been evacuated by authorities in Calabarzon amid Taal Volcano's heightened activity, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said Monday.
In an interview over state-run PTV, DSWD Undersecretary Felicisimo Budiongan said about 2,000 individuals or 500 families were transferred to 16 evacuation centers in Agoncillo, Balete, Laurel and Nasugbu in Batangas.
