THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is still optimistic about the Philippines' economic recovery this year, citing "green shoots" as early as the third quarter.
"In the case of the Philippines, we have started to see green shoots as early as the third quarter of last year," BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno pointed out during a joint economic briefing of various foreign chambers in the Philippines held on Tuesday.
