Silab - a fiery debut for newcomers

Save for Jason Abalos, the two other stars of "Silab" - Cloe Barreto and Marco Gomez - are playing their first lead roles through the new Vivamax original movie. But make no mistake, these newbies have what it takes to be in the biz. After all, no less than the meticulous and award-winning director Joel Lamangan attests to the caliber of their performances.

"Na-shock ako dahil sa mga unang araw ng shooting, nakitaan ko na agad ng kahusayan si Cloe Barreto. Nakita ko na meron siyang ibubuga, na meron siyang tinatago sa larangan ng pag-arte. Masasabi ko na mahusay siyang artista at hindi siya natatakot na gawin ang mga bagay na kinakailangan sa eksena," Lamangan confidently declared at the movie's virtual media conference.
