THE 1.63-percent population growth in 2015 to 2020 shows the country's progress in the implementation of the reproductive health program, said Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Karl Kendrick Chua.

"We are going to use the result of this [2020] census... and the assessment of the population program to see whether our reproductive health law is showing progress. Right now, what I can see from the data is there is progress in our reproductive health program. Total fertility rate is falling, women are more educated and are better managing their families, and the population growth is also falling," Chua said during the 2020 Census of Population and Housing Population Counts result briefing on Tuesday.
