WITH two remaining open slots, the senatorial line up of the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC) for next year's polls is almost complete, Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto 3rd said.

Sotto, NPC chairman, on Wednesday evening revealed the party's senatorial ticket who will run under the "Lacson-Sotto" banner in the 2022 national elections.

Lacson and Sotto are running for president and vice president respectively in next year's polls as they offered themselves as the "alternative" team to address the country's problems.

"I just got the go signal, Congw (Congresswoman) Lucy Torres Gomez will be in our lineup," Sotto said in a text message.

Asked whether Gomez, a member of the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Laban ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) will be adopted by the NPC, Sotto said, "We have not discussed that. As of now, it's [her] inclusion in our endorsed slate."

Sotto added, "'ll be consulting with my partymates regarding my candidacy with Ping and [senatorial] line-up on the 28th [of July]."

The NPC senatorial line-up in is composed of reelectionist senators Sherwin Gatchalian, Richard "Dick" Gordon, Emmanuel "Joel" Villanueva, and Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri; comebacking senators Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito, Francis "Chiz" Escudero, Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan 2nd and Lorna Regina "Loren" Legarda; former poll commissioner Gregorio "Goyo" Larrazabal; and Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez.

The other reelectionist senators are Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, Ana Theresia Hontiveros, and Leila de Lima -- who are all part of the opposition.
