The word "legit" has taken upon a much more layered connotation appropriated like a novel street lingo among the Gen Z gamely stalking past the Millennials like robots stuck to their gadget- orientated world.
Referenced here are those born between 1997 to 2012, now between the age of 7 and 22 according to US Pew Research Center. Anything less original, authentic, and sincere is deemed fake; as in fake news, brand, or character for that matter, and far from "legit."
