TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte: The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Eastern Visayas has confirmed rampant illegal sand and gravel quarrying in Barugo, Leyte.
Margarito Jerry Barreto, chief, Mine Management Division of MGB-DENR 8, said a field inspection and investigation conducted by their technical personnel found out the unlawful activity at Barangay Poblacion in Barugo.
