Making his first election pitch, Sen. Panfilo "Ping" Lacson vowed if elected next year, he and Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto 3rd will not fail the people and will seek to restore trust in government.
Lacson has announced he will run for president as an independent candidate, with Sotto, the chairman of the Nationalist People's Coalition, as his running mate.
